The Physicians Health Plan of South Michigan (PHPSM) is a not-for-profit health maintenance organization focused on providing quality health care service to the citizens of selected counties in southern Michigan, including Calhoun, Hillsdale, Ingham,. Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, and Washtenaw. Formed in 1980, the group is a part of the Sparrow Health System and is affiliated with the W. A. Foote Memorial Hospital. This health plan is available to employers and their employees and to Medicaid recipients within the central Michigan counties served who have chosen this plan.

Physicians Health Plan of South Michigan offers the following affordable health insurance plans for Michigan families. HMO and high deductible health plans (HDHP) are flexible and offer a wide range of deductibles and co-pays. Some plans allow members to choose their own physician. Others allow a combination with a health savings account (HSA). All plans include discounted services for vision care, including laser vision corrective surgery. Michigan Medicaid benefits are standard.
